Louis François Dauprat Trios
Louis François Dauprat wrote three Grand Trios and Six shorter trios. These were all composed for natural horn. The is also a Trio, Opus 15 for three horns and piano.
Dauprat Grand Trios
These are three wonderful trios. Each has four movements and they would be great for a performance. These trios were written for natural horns. All the horn parts were originally written for horns in E. I chose to drop a semitone for the first trio. The second trio is down a second as that seemed the best when playing with our trio group. The third trio is actually a semitone higher than the original. This in some cases avoided having very many accidentals for modern horns in F.

Dauprat Grand Trio Book Set
Dauprat Grand Trio No. 2, Second movement, Canon
This is the Horn 1 part. It starts with the second horn playing the theme. The first horn then plays the theme with the second horn playing a counter melody. Then the third horn joins with the theme. At the end the first horn plays the theme again but with some delicious embellishments.

Dauprat Six Trios
Each of these trios have one movement. They may have been also played as one trio with six movements, called a Grand Trio. Dauprat has already named the last movement "Finale". These are very nice trios, as are all the Dauprat compositions. They are published in three parts books. The third part book containes both horn and euphonium parts.
